81st Academy Awards For Westerners

Every Hollywood actor waits for it & if you are nominated for it then that actor can have sleepless nights, but what more concerns me that as OSCARS are said to be the biggest award function in the world, Is the whole world invited for it? I don't think so.
As me being an Indian I was so happy that an Indian Music Director A.R.Rehman won 2 Oscars, but it was for a foreign Movie called SLUMDOG MILLIONARE based on Mumbai Slums adopted from a book called Q&A I think.
Do you really think if this movie was made by an Indian or a Afghanistan National this movie would have been gone to Oscars, It makes myself think that is Oscars is really for everyone or for a particular Audience.
There was lot of protest going on about Slum dog Millionaire the movie, some Indians called it a POVERTY PORN or some didn't like the title of the Movie but I feel the jury of Oscars like to see more poverty & poor peopl
e struggling in the movie, may be they think the movie will be more real if they show poverty of a developing nation.
I remember few years back there was a movie call SALAAM BOMBAY based again on poverty of India & Westerners like the Movie & it did fair well in Oscars, guess what again a westerner director of Indian Origin called Mira Nair, but my point today is, if I made MILK the movie in India, would I be nominated for the OSCARS?
We consider OSCARS as biggest award of the world then why OSCARS cant expect WORLD CINEMA nominations or do we think is wrong? Is OSCARS not the greatest award of all? Is OSCARS is the mother of all awards in the world or should we need an award function where we can see all countries best movies getting nominated & film makers getting world recognition, I think we need these kind of award function & jury irrespective to cast & skin.
