Conceptual Board of an Architectural Student

Here is an example of an architectural conceptual board. If you are going to make a conceptual board, you can refer to this for an additional idea.

(You must first identify the problems regarding the site or location.)

Statement of the Problem - (Identifying a problem is the first one to be considered.)


  • How to make the people feel the relaxing atmosphere.
  • How to utilize the spaces.
  • How to make the people see the views and vistas.
  • Where the parts or the areas of the house should be put in its proper orientation.
Significance of the Problem - (You should know how significant the problem is. In this part, it is very important for you to recognize the existing architectural contexts.)


There is a need for adjacency and relatedness to the core activities. There are required spaces to be put into plan considering the volume of the people involved. We have to furnish the elements of comfort, light, heat, and ventilation.

sign Objectives - (You have to set an objective for you to aim. A goal that you have to achieve in making a solution of the problems you're facing.)

  • To be able to place the living and the dining rooms in a place with a better view.
  • To observe the right orientation.
  • To be able to make the people see the view of the lake.
Concept - (This is your design solution. Your goal is set to the solution for you to have a satisying work in solving site problems.)

Design Philosophy - (This is your principle in life. It is commonly brought all through out your designs. This is somewhat kind of your signature as a designer or a symbol that you are the designer.)

(This philosophy implies a smooth traffic flow.)
