Which leads us to the purchasable upgrades. In this game, a free account doesn't allow you to trade with other players (which prevents many exploits, but I won't elaborate on that). To trade, you'll need a Standard (20 USD for 16 weeks) or Premium (50 USD for 16 weeks) account. Besides the ability to trade (and auction) items, you get additional Rested Time each day (2 hours for Standard, 3 hours for Premium), as well as other niceties like extra inventory space and the elimination of ads from the browser page in which you're playing the game. There are also several permanent upgrades that give different bonuses. For example, the Accelerator Upgrade boosts your gold, item and experience gains after every battle, but increases the rate at which your Rested Time counts down
.
Perhaps the most interesting part of this game though is the Player vs Player interaction. You start as a non-Player Killer (or non-PK for short) and are immune to being killed by other players until you reach level 5. After that point, it's fair game as you can be forced into combat by Player Killers. Losing costs you an item (if you're a free account, the item is destroyed. Otherwise, the killer steals the item from you), but if you can defeat the PK, then he/she is permanently killed and respawns back in the starting town, at Level 1, with only the experience gained in Learning Skills to his/her name. PvP in this game is high risk, high reward, and is bound to satiate the gamblers of the world. :P
That's about it for now! Take care and until the next time!
