The film the boondock saints is about two irish brothers in boston living under the radar and barely paycheck to paycheck. Watching ths film makes me want to go back to my Irish heritage and express the green catholic that I really am. Everything starts out all fun and games on saint pattys day going to mass and going to the pub for some green beer. It gets cut short by the Russian mafia bursting in and claiming the pub as their own. The scene switches to two of the Russian mafia men lyeing on the ground dead in unusual ways. The movie terontinos its way around a bit, but then shows how the mafia men where killed. First they grab one brother and these brothers are so close that the other one rips the toilet to which he chained to and drops it on one of the mafias heads to safe his brother. And of course these brothers are extremely irish, they speak Gaelic throughout the movie to eachother. Gaelic is one of the hardest languages in the world, it is like German and Russian combined. So after the police find out that the brothers where just killing in self defense they are known as somewhat of heroes since they start wiping out the various mobs in boston. These men have the strongest brother bond that I have ever seen. These guys really believe that blood is thicker than water. They stick to their irish catholic beliefs as their heritage planning on never letting go of it. Oh and I forgot to mention the pub owner has torrets syndrome and will curse in front of nuns and have mixed sayings like, "make like a tree….and get the fuck out". This has to be one of my all time favorite movies.
