The Law Of Karma Affecting Incarnations
We are all familiar with the saying, “What goes around comes around.” And if you are familiar with the saying, then you should also be familiar with Karma. If you haven’t heard of this, then it’s best that you know it now. This is because the concept is indeed one that has caught the attention of a lot of people worldwide.
When considering karma, one concept has to be remembered at all times: all that we do, even the minutest thing, should be kept in our consciousness. This way, the things that happen to us would most likely be positive, which would in turn bring positive things in the future as well.
The spirit is of much import when discussing Karma. When we die, the belief here is that our spirit would leave our bodies. But just because this happens does not mean that the things we have done in the past will disappear when our spirits leave our bodies. Our actions have consequences, right? Regardless of the magnitude of our actions, they bring forth consequences. Here lies the importance of another concept, and that is, reincarnation.
In its simplest form, reincarnation actually means repetition. The past, the present, and the future of a certain person are intertwined, however complex that may seem. Every living creature on this planet dies at one point or another. But when the creature dies, he, she, or even it, is then reborn. We do not just die out for we go on existing. In time, we would then reappear in another form. And in our new form, something is actually saved in our consciousness. This something does not disappear with the constant changing of form for it would remain in our consciousness time and time again.
The Law of Cause and Effect is also very important in Karma. Whatever things that happened to you in your past life
Now, let us focus on what are known as the consequences or effects of Karma. As mentioned above, the basic law of Karma is that for every action taken, there will be a reaction to it in the future life or incarnation. Performing good actions will bring forth good reactions in the future. These reactions have different types or forms as well. They may come in terms of good health, personal fulfillment, career growth, wealth, marital success, and more. What’s important here is that the forms of good reactions will be fitting to the good actions that were performed in the past life.
So, what should we make of the good people that we know in our present lives who are experiencing bad situations? Yes, they may be good people now, and we may think that these people are not deserving of the negative events they are going through. But when you put Karma into play here, their present sufferings are their punishment for whatever bad deeds they had performed in a previous life. This is in the hopes that the cycle would be completed here, and that the lesson would be finally learned in this lifetime.
But what if that person would choose to act negatively, in response to the negative consequences he is currently facing? Then he can expect to deal with another set of negative reactions in his future incarnation, until a specific lesson is learned.
With these principles in mind, the concept of Karma does make sense. What’s important here is that we should recognize that our actions have consequences, so we have to be careful in the decisions we make. This is true, no matter how minute a certain decision might be.
