I felt like heaving, the room spinning chaotically all around me, the buzzing noise in the hallway ringing loudly in my ears. I couldn't take it anymore, I ran to the bathroom, sat down on the cold floor, breathing slowly through my nose with my head between my legs. I heard the door open, a mob of girls came stomping through to get in front of the mirrors to fix their hair and make-up. I stood up unwillingly and focused all my energy on not falling to the floor. As soon as I made it out the door the scent of a hundred students crowding through the hallway mixed with sweat, cologne, food, and other unidentified odors, hit me with the strength of a cannon ball. I staggered to keep myself up, but I was weak and my knees gave way. I closed my eyes and groaned. People were gathering around me now. I couldn't see them
, but I could hear them all talking and calling my name. The words were meaningless to me, one big jumbled mess, which was giving me a slight headache. I focused on the pain from the headache, which distracted me from the much bigger pain in the pit of my stomach. Slowly but surely the sounds began to fade away, until I could hear nothing and I was no longer aware of anything at all.
I awoke to the sound of beeping. When I opened my eyes it took me a couple seconds to recognize where I was the blank white walls, the scratchy sheets, and the smell of disenfectent. My parents were standing there beside me, my big brother at their side. He was grinning down at me in a mischevious mocking sort of way. I saw a lady in white uniform walk in. There was absolutely no mistaking it I was in the hospital. Man that must have been some really bad sushi I thought to myself.
