Your Bed Anxiously Awaits You!

Your bed awaits you.

Why do you avoid the comfort of your bed which anxiously awaits you? Every day your bed sits alone wondering when you will return unto it to settle yourself. The required amount of sleep for the average person is six-eight hours a night after a day of full activity, work, play, child care and entertainment. Studies have shown most people don't get enough rest to fully function at their maximum capacity.

Results of adequate rest:

  • Good health, strength, growth
  • Strong healthy looking hair
  • Soft skin, a great complexion, youthful looks and one who ages slower.
  • Great attitude, happiness and optimism
  • Good memory
Lack of sleep contributes too many problems:

  • Generally those who don't rest well and don't get at least six hours of sleep after a day or week of busy activity, they tend to be irritable.
  • Skin conditions such as rashes, dry skin and acne.
  • Lethargic, tire, low energy and unable to perform at optimal levels.
  • Depression, physiological issues and behavior problems.
  • Forgetfulness, confusion and sometimes creates disorientness.
So why do we avoid our bedchamber with so much resistance before we surrender to our own exhaustion? With all the health risk you would
think we would run to our cradle nest openly and more readily without reservations.

  • I'll ask again, why do we avoid our comfy beds, are we generally too busy for our own good? Is it because there is not enough time in a twenty-four hour day to complete the task that a day presents?
Whatever the reason for our lack of adequate sleep on a daily basis it's definitely affecting society as a whole.

1. Take our children for instance lack of sleep can contribute to low test scores. Therefore leading to low confidence when applying for colleges and going after your desired career.

2. Criminal minds come from all sorts of backgrounds; they are depressed, irritable individuals who look for ways to be disruptive.

3. Insomnia is greatly noted in the workplace, continuous yawning, lethargic behavior and forgetfulness has become obvious to co-workers.

All of these symptoms can be a direct result of lack of sleep, rest and naps.

There's no easy remedies for such a widespread problem but being aware of the effects of sleeplessness helps guard against ritual habits and problems as an end result. Make a point to watch over your sleeping habits as well as those which you are in close contact with.

  • The next time that your bed calls quietly to you to bed down for some well needed rest don't avoid the welcoming embrace surrender to the calming comfort.
